Full Moon Reflections: Dreaming Bigger Within the Spiral

Moon Wisdom Circle insights for the Leo Full Moon and Imbolc

Reflections from our February Moon Wisdom Circle and the powerful astrological threshold of early 2026.

Every month the moon gives us an opportunity to begin again as we journey with her through the cycle of intention, growth, illumination, and release. Our quarterly Moon Wisdom Circles offer a way to step consciously into the cycle of the moon, pause, gather in community, and share our truth. We witness one another’s journeys, create space for what is still dreaming itself into being, and celebrate what is coming to fruition.

When women gather in circle, we remember that we are not meant to walk these cycles alone. Together, we create a space to reflect, honour what is unfolding in our lives, and listen for the quiet wisdom that emerges when we slow down and turn inward.

The full moon circle on February 1 provided a space to reflect on what we have manifested since we gathered at the New Moon on January 18, gently release what no longer serves, and open to the impossible dreams we have the opportunity to plant at the next new moon.

The Spiral Dance of Life and the Wisdom of Cycles

Our work is grounded in the Spiral Dance of Life, the ongoing cycles of creation and renewal woven into our lives. The curiosity of the Maiden, the nurturing of the Mother, the discernment of the Wise Woman, and the deep knowing of the Crone play out in different ways at different times. They align with the seasons, we move through them as we age, and we can call on them for support and understanding at any stage of life.

Each of these cycles invites us to begin again, not in the same place, but one spiral deeper. These larger life cycles align with smaller cycles, like the monthly phases of the moon. We gathered at the full moon, aligned with the energy of the Mother, the full embodiment and full expression of life.

At the same time, we were celebrating Imbolc, the midway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. This point in the seasonal wheel can feel more aligned with the Crone, dreaming about what will emerge in spring. There is much written about Imbolc as a time of new seeds and early growth. Here in Edmonton, the Maiden has not yet emerged with new sprouts. Even in this unusually warm, melty winter, we are surrounded by snow and ice. And yet there is a subtle shift. The days are getting longer. Beneath the frozen ground, roots and possibilities are beginning to stir.

We are in the energy of the full moon, full expression and growth, and at the same time we are halfway through winter. Things can feel dormant. Quiet. Bare. There is not a lot of visible green. There can be tension between the full expression of the Mother and the rest and renewal of the Crone, and yet this also offers us choice. We can consciously choose the archetype we want to work with and the energy we want to call forward.

This feels especially appropriate right now with how the planets will be moving and connecting throughout the month. In our circle, we spent time with the full moon energy, honouring what has been created and what has come to pass since the last new moon, and over the past six months since the new moon was last in Leo.

At the same time, there is still a small window open. A space for release. For dreaming. For seed planting before the massive energy of 2026 really begins to move.

This year carries the energy of new beginnings. It is a one year in both numerology and the Mayan calendar. I keep hearing the same message. Dream the impossible dream. Dream bigger. And then bigger still. This moment, this alignment of energy and change in our world, is a one in a lifetime invitation to dream even bigger than we have allowed ourselves to imagine before.

Gathered in circle, we had the opportunity to explore both of these energies. The full moon Mother energy that supports us to honour what has come to fruition, and the Crone’s invitation to continue dreaming what is possible between now and the next new moon.

Cosmic Weather: Leo Full Moon and the Energy of Change

This full moon in Leo, often called the Snow Moon, carries heart centred, creative, expressive energy. Courage. Joy. Authentic self expression. The lioness roaring with the full power and energy of who she is. You may feel a push now, or throughout this lunation, to move more fully into the spotlight of your own life and share your truth more authentically.

At the same time, the sun is in Aquarius, the sign of community and collective growth. You may feel nudges about how you are meant to serve the collective, your family, your community. You may also receive insights about where you are dimming your light. Leo and Aquarius together ask where you are being invited to dream bigger and take up more space.

There is also significant movement in the larger cosmic landscape. Uranus has recently moved direct, bringing the potential for liberation and unexpected change. Uranus energy can shake things up, break things open, and create surprising events both personally and collectively. It invites us to see change not as something happening to us, but as something happening for us. It can become a portal to everything we have been longing for.

This month Saturn moves back into Aries, calling us to align with our highest path. To create solid foundations, maintain healthy boundaries, and be clear about our inner authority. Saturn supports us in taking our ideas and making them real in the world.

On February 17 we welcome the Lunar New Year and a powerful new moon with a solar eclipse. Another moment for planting seeds. Another threshold. Eclipses offer an opportunity to break patterns and release old identities, creating space for new beginnings that can unfold over the next six months.

This Lunar New Year carries the energy of the Fire Horse. Movement. Freedom. Independence. Passion. Courage. Visibility. Life force. Fast moving, expressive, and unapologetically independent. Fire Horse does not ask for permission. She moves when the inner signal is clear.

We stand at a threshold, a moment with a great deal of energy moving around us and within us. A full moon to honour what has come to fruition and an invitation to release what no longer serves as the moon begins to wane and shadows emerge.

Between now and the next new moon, we are invited to become very clear about what we want to call in. What we want to manifest. What we are ready to dream into being.

To honour what is.

And to dream bigger than we have ever imagined.

Join us in the Circle

If you are feeling the call to pause, reflect, and align with the wisdom of the moon, you are warmly invited to join us in an upcoming Moon Wisdom Circle.

Each gathering offers a gentle and supportive space to connect with the lunar cycle, honour the current turn of the spiral, and share in the power of community. In circle, we set intentions, celebrate what is unfolding, release what no longer serves, and listen for what is ready to emerge next.

You can learn more about upcoming circles here.

We would love to welcome you into the circle.
