The blood moon eclipse carries deep spiritual meaning. It marks a threshold of powerful release, transformation, and renewal. Eclipses accelerate change and illuminate what is ready to be seen, healed, and released. During a blood moon eclipse, we are invited to pause, reflect, and consciously let go of what no longer serves so that something new can begin to emerge.
Eclipse season starts tomorrow with a full moon eclipse, a blood moon eclipse, which will be fully visible here tomorrow morning at 4:54 am, it’s been snowing all day so it might not be visible but we can still work with it’s powerful energy. The blood moon eclipse invites us into a powerful cycle of release, reflection, and renewal.
Tomorrow Mother Earth, Gaia, will slip between the sun and the moon casting the moon into shadow. Luna, the moon will not go totally dark, even here with the full eclipse, but turn a deep blood red.
The spiritual meaning of the blood moon eclipse
Eclipses provide the opportunity for reset.
A cosmic control + alt + delete.
Giving us an opportunity to release what no longer serves us.
Let’s use this time to reset our relationships with ourselves.
Release the ways we are holding ourselves back, our self-criticism, our reaction to the chaotic energy we’ve been experiencing.
Tomorrow’s eclipse is an opportunity to

- revisit
- rethink
- retreat
The energy has been really intense lately in many ways. Astrologers say this is due to the position of the outer planets and that we can expect the whole year to be full of change and chaos, as systems break down, fear and judgement.
But I choose to remember that this intense energy is the feminine energy of chaos, which is also about creativity and potential. I choose to not get caught up in the negative energy. I choose to disconnect from the collective consciousness.
Celebrate the positive, laugh, focus on joy, spend time in nature, keep my energy high.
I choose love.
There is a lot going on tomorrow, in addition to the eclipse.
Venus is retrograde (moving backwards) is talking to us about our values, giving us another chance to define who we are and what we stand for so we can move forward with clarity.
Full moons are about illumination. They shine a light on things, ask us to pay attention. This full moon asks us to look at the patterns that are holding us back. Limiting beliefs, self criticism. It is an opportunity to release the programs and patterns that we have absorbed, sometimes as subconscious subroutines, that are no longer serving you.
Why don’t you leverage eclipse to release them?
The eclipse energy will be with us for the next two weeks, until the moon passes in front of the Sun and we experience the new moon solar eclipse. I shared some reflections on that turning point here as well.
I am holding this time as one more turn in the Spiral Dance of Life, the rhythm of endings and beginnings that we move within again and again.
And it might be a bumpy ride, so be gentle with yourself.
Drink water, if possible take a little time for yourself to do something that brings you joy.
Rest.
So I am going to take a few long slow breaths from my heart and get ready to release what no longer serves me and call in the divine right wise women to come and gather with me.
