Feminine Wisdom is ancient, living, embodied wisdom. It moves through our bodies, our stories, our intuition, our relationships, and the natural world. It is the wisdom of cycles and seasons, of growth and release, of fullness and rest, of endings that become beginnings.
This wisdom is not limited by gender, age, identity, or life stage. It lives in all of us. Sometimes it is quiet. Sometimes it has been buried beneath responsibility, expectation, grief, survival, or the noise of everyday life. And sometimes it simply needs a welcoming space to be heard again.
At Wise Women Gathering, we honour feminine ways of knowing through ritual, reflection, shared experience, and the wisdom held within the circle. We explore this wisdom through the cycles and seasons of the moon, the menstrual cycle, the seasons of the Earth, and the great transitions of our lives. These cycles are not separate from us. They are mirrors, teachers, and companions as we move through the Spiral Dance of Life.
The Spiral Dance reminds us that life does not move in a straight line. We return again and again to familiar places, but we do not return unchanged. Each turn of the spiral offers another opportunity to listen more deeply, release what no longer serves, gather what has been learned, and begin again.
We see this wisdom in the moon as she moves from darkness to fullness and back again. We see it in the seasons as spring begins, summer expands, autumn harvests, and winter releases. We see it in the feminine archetypes of Maiden, Mother, Wise Woman, and Crone, each offering a different way of knowing, being, creating, tending, harvesting, teaching and transforming.
For those who menstruate, or have menstruated, this wisdom may also be known through the body’s own monthly rhythm: the inward pull, the rising energy, the fullness, and the descent. For those who do not experience a menstrual cycle, the same pattern can still be felt through the moon, the seasons and the natural rhythms of life.
In circle, we remember that we do not have to find our way alone. Just as the moon reflects our brilliance back to us, our sisters can reflect our inner knowing back to us. Sometimes a sister speaks the words we did not yet know we were carrying. Sometimes she says exactly what we already knew in our own heart. In that moment, something within us softens and recognizes itself. We feel seen. We remember we are held in community.
This is the foundation of our Moon Wisdom Circles, where we gather with the rhythm of the moon to pause, reflect, release, and begin again.
It is also the foundation of the Sagescence Ceremony, an in-person threshold gathering for those moving through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Sagescence honours the Wise Woman turn of the spiral: a time to gather the harvest of lived experience, honour the motherline, release what no longer serves, and step into Wise Womanhood with intention.
You are warmly invited to join a Moon Wisdom Circle or learn more about the in-person Sagescence Ceremony I will be hosting in Edmonton shortly after the Fall Equinox.
“When women honour their cyclic nature, they reclaim the rhythm of the Earth and the wisdom of their ancestors.”
